We’re moving, but barely. We’re existing, not living. We’re surviving, not thriving.

Challenging ourselves to improve these everyday habits cultivates a thriving mindset. It’s a simple but effective strategy - simplify to amplify.

FROM BARELY SURVIVING TO THRIVING

Sometimes life gets away from us. We end up being passengers with the navigation jammed on autopilot. We go through the motions without making mindful decisions around our everyday habits.

It can lead to a passive existence instead of conscious living. At least, it did for me anyway.

A string of emotional and physical obstacles - the suicide of my first husband, sexual assault, a tumour in my brain, and the discovery of a congenital hole in my heart in my 30s - shocked me into a passive existence.

I was at a genuine crisis point. Alive but not living. Surviving, not thriving.

A mindful approach to simple, everyday habits helped me get my ass in gear. I challenged myself to take control of breathing, hydrating, sleeping, moving and eating. The decision led me to cultivate a thriving mindset.
